We are reaching out to the 31 veterans' organizations affiliated with the Rockford Veterans Memorial Hall to hold a screening of Lucia Mauro's acclaimed short film, In My Brother's Shoes, This this an inspiring 25-minute film, based on a true story, about a man who honors his fallen U.S. Marine brother by wearing his sibling's desert boots on a pilgrimage to Rome. During this journey, he finds personal healing and the strength to move on.

In My Brother's Shoes is also an Illinois 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Net proceeds from the screening events will go to veterans and their families. This event will donate to the Winnebago County Veterans Association. The film screening  opens with a color guard and an invocation by a member of the clergy. It includes live music, the film, a Q&A with cast and crew. A reception follows and features pizza, wings, beef sandwiches, beer and soft drinks.

The goal is to schedule this event on a weekend evening in early to late March 2015,

A $100 donation from your VFW Hall, American Legion Post or military organization will get 12 tickets.                                       Additional tickets above and beyond the 12 are $8.50 each.  Single tickets are sold $10 each in advance and $12 at the door.

We hope your organization and your members will help support this healing short film and its worthy cause.
